Panthers win second straight Stanley Cup
The Florida Panthers have repeat as Stanley Cup Champions, leaving Oilers fans and Canadians in despair for the second year in a row. For three years in a row this truly great Florida team has been under-bet in Lord Stanley's Pool. Congratulations to our pool winners, Mitch Wexler (1st), Adam Jamieson (2nd) and Daisy Marquez (3rd). Check out the Final Pool Analysis for this year's Dream Team, the key to the pool, and other bits.

Thank you for playing in Lord Stanley's Pool! Stay tuned for Shoot for Gold 2026 in February, followed by this pool's return in April.

Reinhart's four goals flips the result for third 6/17/2025 11:54:00 PM
Sam Reinhart's four goals in the decisive game - the first four-goal game in the Finals since Maurice Richard - has bounced Daisy Marquez into third place. Daisy was three points behind Brandon Poitras going into the game and after two empty-netters (reminiscent of the final Vegas-Florida game two years ago), it was the opposite. Jo-Anne Enzel climbed into fourth with the Florida win as Brandon ends tied for fifth with Ryan Thompson. This is Ryan's second straight top-10 finish.

Repeat or comeback? 6/16/2025 5:10:00 PM
Florida's on the cusp of a Cup repeat after their game five victory. Edmonton has proven its ability to come back, both in these playoffs and in the finals last year, but to be the champs, they'll need to beat the champs. And the Panthers are confidently playing like the champions. Stay tuned for game six on Tuesday and, hopefully, the ultimate game seven on Friday.

Back and forth 6/13/2025 3:26:00 AM
After a back and forth fourth game, the back and forth series is tied again. Leon Draisaitl scored the overtime winner after the Oilers overcame a 3-0 deficit and then Florida re-tied it in the final minute. With three games left to go, Mitch Wexler has a 12-point cushion and is poised to win. Adam Jamieson has regained second place by two points after Brandon Poitras had briefly tied him. Daisy Marquez remains on the outside looking in, two points behind third.

Series tied; Brandon makes a move 6/7/2025 3:37:00 PM
Two games, two overtimes, and the finals are tied 1-1 in what is expected to be a long, tough series. Adam Jamieson has gained two points on the leader to narrow the gap to seven, but Brandon Poitras is hot on his tail. Brandon has gained six points on Daisy Marquez in the battle for third, and is now only one point behind Adam for second place.

The Great Rematch 6/4/2025 3:40:00 PM
Will Florida defend its crown, or will Edmonton exact revenge to be the first Canadian team to win the Cup in 32 years? The exciting Stanley Cup Finals are underway. Check out the Round 3 Analysis for the pool trends, early dream team clinchers, who's hot and not and more. Go Oilers Go!

Take two 5/30/2025 9:52:00 AM
It's a rematch. The Edmonton Oilers put away Dallas (125 picks) and now have their second chance against Florida in what should be a thrilling final - if undramatic in Lord Stanley's Pool. Dallas scoring in game 5 buffered Mitch's lead to 9 before the Stars players bowed out, giving him a solid if not unsurmountable lead over Adam Jamieson. Daisy Marquez and Brandon Poitras are tied for third and will battle for the final podium spot.

Florida back in the finals, again 5/28/2025 11:15:00 PM
The Florida Panthers are on their way to the Stanley Cup finals for the third straight year, aiming to repeat last year's championship. Carolina's 109 picks will have a seat and we will stay tuned to see who will win in the east - as soon as tomorrow.

Finals repeat? 5/25/2025 9:51:00 PM
It's looking more and more like a repeat of last year's Oilers-Panthers Cup final. Edmonton has taken the series lead against Dallas, outscoring the Stars 9-1 in the past two games. They appear to be in championship form looking to avenge their game seven loss last year to Florida. The Panthers meanwhile have a 3-0 series lead, and on Monday can clinch their chance to repeat.

Adam closing the gap 5/25/2025 1:12:00 AM
Adam Jamieson is closing the gap between him and leader Mitch Wexler. Adam was 10 points behind a week ago but with a surge by Aleksander Barkov and Sam Bennett - over Mitch's picks of Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Reinhart - Adam is now in second place just 5 points back. Mitch has two additional Dallas players, but Edmonton's shutout kept them off the board on Friday and Adam would benefit from the Oilers winning that series by taking out Mitch's advantage.

Another Bob zero, contenders rise to the top 5/23/2025 4:09:00 AM
Sergei Bobrovsky's third shutout has brought fresh names to the leaderboard, and they are likely to stay. Brandon Poitras has moved into second place while Adam Jamieson climbed into third and Daisy Marquez fourth. While Mitch Wexler holds a six point lead, challengers like Adam could sneak closer, especially if Dallas does down in the west.

Stars deliver statement win in game one 5/22/2025 3:58:00 AM
Down 3-1 in the third, Dallas used another third-period comeback to win game one and give a wake-up call to Edmonton. Matthew Pledger had the hot hand Wednesday with 11 points to sit 133rd.

Florida wastes no time 5/21/2025 2:51:00 AM
No extra rest for the Florida Panthers. Two days after their game seven victory, they have opened their Conference Finals against Carolina with a decisive win. Laura Speciale and Anna Kwan had six points each to rise over 40 places in the standings, while Mitch Wexler has moved back on top, where he is likely to stay for an extended period.
